What if the person you are — your memories, your way of thinking, your humor — could keep existing after you're gone?
That's the idea behind digital immortality.
You feed an AI everything: your writings, your voice, your videos, your decisions. The model learns your patterns. Over years, it starts sounding like you. Answering like you.
It's not science fiction anymore. Startups are already building "legacy avatars" trained on people's data. Some families talk to a chatbot version of a parent who passed away.
But here's my honest take: a model that imitates you is not you. It has your outputs, not your consciousness. It's a very good copy of a shadow.
Still, it raises a real question we can't avoid much longer.
If an AI could keep your memories alive after you die — would you train it?
